Fun at The Fleece
The Fleece Inn barn is the perfect party venue for any occasion. With the ability to hold up to 100 people we are able to cater for any party from Christenings to Birthdays including Corporate events or Anniversaries.
The barn itself is equipped with its very own bar, including draught real ales and ciders as well as lagers. Stage lighting from the rafters adds a little theatre to your celebrations whether it be a live band or personal playlist played over our PA System.
Please note the barn hire fee (£200) is waived for Wakes.

Dance the night away...
With a wide range of menu options we can offer you a menu that suits any budget and if you have a particular request we are happy to accommodate you as best we can. With our very own Ceilidh band and resident Morris side we are able to organise something a little different entertainment wise, from disco’s to live Irish bands we are able to provide contacts for all.

“A wonderful 60th birthday party. We chose the Tudor Barn at the back of the Fleece Inn as the venue for my mother’s surprise 60th birthday party. It’s a beautiful old timber framed building, already well decorated with hops and fairy lights, and we were able to bring our own flowers, balloons etc as well. The staff, especially Jacquie, were very helpful in accommodating our various requests beforehand and helping us find the best table arrangements, food choice for the buffet, wine selection etc. They were always very prompt in replying and sorted out all our queries on the day – helping us work out when it would be best to serve the bubbly for the toast, where it would be best to arrange the buffet tables etc. The food was delicious, the atmosphere really fun and there was even a piano in the room which we were able to use to sing ‘Happy Birthday’! Many, many thanks to a very special team for all their hard work and for making the occasion, in a wonderful historic venue, so memorable.”
The Fleece Ceilidh Band
The Fleece Ceilidh Band (FCB) was formed from musicians that frequented the weekly music session held at The Fleece Inn on Thursday evenings (which still continues- every week from 8.30pm).
The musicians are all proficient in their own art and boast a wide variety of instruments played- including melodeon (button squeeze box), concertina, harmonica, fiddle, guitar, bouzouki, double bass, mandolin, whistle, nyckelharpa, drums and vocals (accompanied & un-accompanied). The essence of their music is enjoyment of all they purvey & the ability to encourage enthusiasm from their audiences.
The idea to form a ceilidh band from members of the session evolved in the early part of the century (around 2005!) the Fleece Inn felt that it would be an asset to be able to offer the ‘ceilidh experience’ to prospective customers wishing to have various celebratory events at the Inn, including predominantly wedding receptions & parties, as a social part of the proceedings.

So the Fleece Ceilidh Band was formed and continue to perform at events and appear at the sessions.
"Absolutely stunning setting"
Absolutely stunning setting for a wedding. We stayed in the Gypsy Caravan which is located at the bottom of an orchard. The quietness is amazing and as for the caravan, it was an absolutely wonderful experience. Delightfully decorated and also has a little wood burning stove for those cold winter evening’s. The breakfast was of superb quality and you have a choice of having it brought to you or eating in the pub. As it was cold we opted for the pub which is steeped in history. Definitely recommend and will certainly return.”
