The Fleece Inn is a safe and welcoming space for everyone. We do not tolerate discrimination of any kind — including on the basis of race, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, religion, or identity.
Our staff are committed to creating an atmosphere where all guests feel respected, valued, and safe. If you experience or witness any behaviour that makes you uncomfortable, please speak to a member of our team — we will act with care and urgency.

Getting In & Around
Both pub entrances are step-free at ground level.
The interior has traditional flagstone flooring; two of the three rooms, and the bar are wheelchair accessible.
The orchard and beer garden are on level grass; the courtyard features uneven cobbles.
Seating & Ambience
Freestanding antique wooden chairs in mixed styles (varied heights and some with armrests).
Natural lighting during the day; soft, warm lighting in the evenings.
No strobe lights or flashing effects.
No amplified music is played. Occasional live folk sessions are acoustic and informal.
Quiet times: Generally, Monday to Thursday, between 3–5pm.
Quiet space can be found in our extensive orchard.
Toilets
Accessible toilet: Ground floor, unisex, with flat access, grab rails, and a wall-mounted baby changing table.
Standard toilets:
Gents: Ground floor
Ladies: First floor (accessed via stairs)
Menus
All menus and drinks lists clearly mark gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options.
Large print menus available on request.
We’re happy to provide alternative formats on request.
B&B Accommodation
Our B&B room is located on the first floor and accessed by stairs with a handrail.
We currently do not offer step-free accommodation.
Parking & Arrival
There is no on-site car park.
Drop-off is usually possible in the courtyard (subject to space).
Parking is available at The Cross, between the pub and the church, with flat access to the pub.
Assistance & Service Dogs
Registered assistance dogs are welcome in all areas of the pub and garden, as are all dogs.
Let a staff member know if your dog needs water or a quiet spot.
Hearing & Communication Support
We do not currently have a hearing loop system installed.
Our staff are happy to communicate clearly face-to-face or via written notes when needed.
Help on Arrival
If you would like help when you arrive (e.g. with bags, navigating uneven surfaces, or visual guidance), please let us know in advance or ask a member of staff on the day.
Emergency Information
If you may need help in the event of an evacuation, please inform a member of staff on arrival.
