Weekly Events

Regular Events at The Fleece

The Fleece Inn holds a number of weekly events so come down and join us. Check out our What's On page for other events taking place at the pub.

Folk Night

Every Thursday Night in the Pewter Room from 8.30 / 9.00pm
Come along and join in with one of the Fleece’s most popular nights. Everyone welcome as long as music’s your thing! Feel free to bring along any instruments and get involved with the Folk fun!

Celtic Folk Night

Every third Wednesday Night in the Pewter Room from 8.30 / 9.00pm
All the fun of our regular folk night but with a celtic flavour.

Shifting Sunday Session

The second Sunday of the month in the Pewter Room from 8pm

An increasingly popular music session featuring songs & tunes from all comers – we have a basic core of dedicated musicians – including members of the Fleece Ceilidh Band (see further details). Newcomers are always welcome to join the session – held in the Pewter Room – which has hosted traditional music for over 20years – an intimate environment with limited space but absolutely marvellous setting !!

The session is usually a lively one with a variety of instruments being featured – singers react when introduced by the ringing of a bell ( there’s a novelty!!).

Emphasis is on a friendly atmosphere – no competition – drop in and see for yourself.

Pie & A Pint Night

Every Wednesday from 6.30pm – 8.30pm (Jan – Nov)
Enjoy a homemade Pie of the day for the menu price and add a pint of standard lager or real ale of your choice for FREE, every Wednesday  – Bargain! Vegan pies available.

The Village Box Exchange

The village Book Exchange is up and running! It’s in The Fleece Garden (telephone box) and is available to use in daylight hours.

This has been provided by the Parish Council for villagers. Just pop in and have a look at what’s on offer and help yourself to any book(s) that take your fancy. If you have books that you would like to share with others take them up and place them on the shelves.
It’s also hoped to use the lower shelf for children’s books so if your children have finished/grown out of any of their books pop them in so others can enjoy them. So if you are looking for a book to take on holiday (hopefully in the near future) take a look at what’s on offer before buying!
