On Sunday 31 May, Bretforton Garden Club will hold its annual Open Gardens event, when a diverse group of village gardens, including Bretforton Manor and the village school’s ‘Peace Garden’, will open to the public.
Gardens are open from 11.00am–5.00pm. Entry is £7.00 (free for under 16s), with tickets available at Bretforton Manor and The Ark, Main Street, WR11 7JH.
Visitors can enjoy a range of stunning gardens, from traditional cottage styles to contemporary spaces in development. Features include wildlife ponds, painted arbours and raised vegetable beds, with several new gardens opening this year. A village-wide Planter Competition will also be on display as you make your way around.
In the grounds of Bretforton Manor, you’ll find homemade cakes and refreshments, plant and craft stalls, and performances by Broadway Choir, making it a great day out.
Each year, Bretforton Garden Club supports two local charities through the event. This year’s charities are Campden Home Nursing and Evesham Street Pastors.
Free parking is available near Bretforton Manor, along with a “hedgehog bus” to help visitors reach all the gardens. Please note that some gardens have uneven or gravel paths, which may make wheelchair access difficult. Toilet facilities will be available.
Dogs are not permitted in the gardens.
