From Daisybell: DAY OF HARMONY ON SUNDAY 29TH MARCH CANCELLED.
We are so disappointed to have to tell you that due to low ticket sales we have had to cancel this event. So much work had gone into it, and we were really looking forward to performing with our friends, Rapsquillion. Thanks to them for their understanding, and to Tash and Nigel at The Fleece Inn, Bretforton for their unwavering support.
Presented by Daisybell and Rapsquillion
The day will comprise two one-hour workshops in the morning, one led by Daisybell and one by Rapsquillion, followed by an afternoon concert. These are for all-comers: no level of previous experience is necessary; no need to be able to read music. We are also welcoming tune singers, since harmonies don’t really work unless you have some people singing the melody! Children aged 8 upwards who are confident singers will also enjoy the day. There will be time between the workshops and the concert to go and explore the village, and to get some lunch (lunchbreak 12-2pm).
Note: if you would like to sample the excellent food at The Fleece Inn, your table must be booked in advance as this is a very popular pub. If you prefer to bring your own lunch, please note that you will not be able to consume this on the premises.

Meet the artists:
Daisybell
Since forming in 2014, Daisybell have been making waves on the local and national folk scene, delivering performances of passion, wit and raw emotion at clubs and festivals from Minehead to Gateshead, Worcester to Lincoln, releasing an EP and a video, fitting in a number of live radio appearances and drawing acclaim for their “Sing Like A Daisybell” vocal harmony workshops. Daisybell are patrons or our own Sing in the Spring weekend.
“This talented and funny trio amused and entertained us fully”. (Tony Collins, Fatea Magazine)
“Great harmony workshop at Broadstairs Folk week 2018. Best stepping stone to singing harmony that I have encountered”.
Rapsquillion
Rapsquillion have been stalking the highways and byways of the Welsh Marches for the last twenty-five years, hurling their take on traditional music toward any unsuspecting passers-by who happen to stand still for long enough. Rapsquillion’s live performances, sessions or workshops are underpinned by their rich sound; the sheer joy of their singing is irresistible. Invigorating harmonies and rhythms are delivered with energy as the band display their crinkled credentials to the world.
“Fresh, enchanting – Rapsquillion are just delightful!”
“Rapsquillion - spontaneity, humour, vocal depth and dynamic subtlety….”
