434 Nigels attended the first Nigel Night in 2019, setting a World Record, and many more have since visited the Fleece to sign ‘the Book of Nigel’ that is kept behind the bar. Nigel Night V2 in September 2022 was another success. 401 verified Nigels (plus our landlord) came on 20th September 2025 for Nigel Night V3!

Entry is free and Nigels & non-Nigels are welcome, but we ask you to register in advance - Click here to sign up - and join us for the next largest gathering of Nigels in a pub.
We’ve partnered with the British Heart Foundation to try and raise some money for charity throughout the evening, do bring cash for the donation buckets if you can.

Where to Park
Usually parking is on street in The Cross and village, we have additional Nigel Night parking in a farmer’s field on Back Lane – follow the signs.
(Just a heads up – we’re a rural location and there are no street lights on Back Lane, worth bringing a torch if you can. It’s been raining so the field will be a little muddy)
Registration
Please can all Nigels come to the Registration desk (horsebox) on arrival (with Nigel id!) to get their free drink voucher and badge. T-shirts will also be available to buy and The Book of Nigel will be there all evening for you to sign. All profits from merchandise will go to the British Heart Foundation.
Vital Vitals
We are serving our usual pub menu 12-2.30 & 6-9pm. The pub itself is fully booked (with Nigels!) but you can order at the bar and eat in the barn or marquee. We are also selling food from 3pm til late in the orchard: wood-fired pizza & hog roast.
We have 3 bars to serve thirsty Nigels!

All take cards, and can offer cashback.
We have three special Nigel beers, brewed specially for the night:
· NigALE (Uley Brewery)
· Mad Nigel (Purity)

Hot drinks will be available at the Pub bar and instant tea/coffee from the Marquee bar.
Food from our pub menu can only be ordered at the main bar.
What’s Happening (entertainment times are approximate)
11am pub opens
12noon main food service starts.
3pm The others bars & food options open
3pm Pub Quiz in the Marquee
from 4pm live music with busking Nigel, Silver Sounds Nigel & Piper Nigel
Elemental Morris are with us in the afternoon, and the stratch Nigel Morris practise at 6pm for a 7pm dance out
8pm The Nigel count & awards
Followed by more live music with the Lockdown Layabouts in the marquee
11pm – music curfew for the Barn/Marquee
After that, the pub stays open, acoustic music sessions welcomed.

This will be at the Registration desk (horsebox) for all to sign & add stories / photos. We’ll then add the messages we’ve had from non-attending Nigels and keep at the Fleece for future Nigels to sign.

Nigel Survey - The largest independent survey of Nigels anywhere in the world - who wouldn't want some of that? Pick up your survey to complete at the Horsebox.
